For ten years before I moved to Russia I perfected the art of making outstanding, thin-crust pizza. Even my kids claimed that it was “the best.” It was so good that my friends “invited” themselves over for pizza, wine, and beer….often!
I was going through thousands of photos and videos for my life story video (for my kids and grandkids only) when I came across this old video and decided to distract myself from all the bad stuff going on and post it.
Before leaving for Russia I gave all of my pizza-making tools to a good friend who I hope is making good use of them. Even today, whenever we visit a new restaurant that has pizza on the menu, I always try the Margherita Pizza just to compare.
The best pizzas are made in a wood-fired oven at very high temperatures. I had dreams and plans to build one before I relocated. Oh well, it was tons of fun while it lasted.
The secret is all in the dough! Wait until the end for my recipe!
