The May 9th Victory Day Concert

Outdoors With A Spectacular View of the Kremlin

Moscow was very cold the entire week we were there, but that didn’t keep us from attending the May 9th outdoor Victory Day concert.

Once again, we had great tickets! Front row, center stage.

The concert featured an amazing all-youth orchestra, well-known musicians, composers, and singers performing traditional, patriotic pieces.

As you can see, this venue was spectacular with views of the Kremlin and the setting sun in the background.

Russians know how to put on these spectacular shows. The concert was shown on live TV, and there were video cameras everywhere, including a robot and a large boom with high definition cameras.

And of course, there were fireworks shows all over the city, a fitting end to Russia’s most important holiday celebrating the victory over Fascism and Nazi Germany in WWII, the Great Patriotic War as they call it.
